Tuesday, Nov 3, 2009 @09:31am CST (Chicago) -- Just days after investigators seized the computer of one of Governor Pat Quinn's top aides, that woman has resigned.
Carolyn Brown-Hodge left her job as Quinn's Deputy Chief of Staff last week. The Governor's office confirmed on Monday that Brown-Hodge is no longer working for the administration. The "Chicago Sun Times" says her resignation comes immediately after state inspectors began asking questions as to whether Brown-Hodge was doing political work on state time. The report says her computer had been taken for further study. Quinn's office has been quiet about Brown-Hodge's resignation. The Governor's main rival for reelection, Comptroller Dan Hynes, says he hopes an investigation provides some answers.
