Tuesday, Nov 3, 2009 @03:48pm CST (Cleveland, OH) -- Police in Cleveland have reportedly found at least one more body at the home of alleged serial killer Anthony Sowell.
The "Cleveland Plain Dealer" reports Sowell is being held on suspicion of murder charges following the discovery last week of half a dozen bodies scattered around his home. Some were inside, others were found in crawl spaces and even a shallow basement grave. Investigators say they have a search warrant that will allow them to take the entire home apart as they search for additional bodies. Cleveland police will hold a news conference this evening to provide additional details. The Cleveland coroner's office has said the bodies found last week had been dead at least six months. Authorities are looking at all missing persons reports as far back as June 2005. That's when the suspect was released from prison where he'd been confined for 15 years on a rape conviction.
