Friday, Nov 6, 2009 @08:54am CST (Cape Canaveral, FL) -- Identity thieves in Florida are targeting the men and women who work at the Kennedy Space Center.
The federal credit union there is alerting customers to phony text messages that many people are receiving on their cell phones. The text message tells the customer their ATM card has been turned off and to reactivate it they should call a special number and enter both the card number and the PIN. Victims of the scam are urged to contact the credit union as soon as possible.
