Friday, Nov 6, 2009 @08:55am CST (Viera, FL) -- Jurors in Brevard County, Florida didn't believe 53-year-old Steven Swallick when the Palm Bay man said he uses marijuana for religious purposes.
The self-proclaimed "pot pastor" was found guilty of illegally harvesting more than 100 marijuana plants at his home. Swallick was arrested a year and a half ago and testified on the stand dressed like a priest with a cross around his neck. The judge, however, refused to let him testify about how marijuana use relates to his religion. He could get up to ten years in prison when he is sentenced next month.
