Griffin Police Officer Charles Moxon reported his German Shepherd, Jimi, and another dog were taken from their kennels at his house in Lamar County about 60 miles south of Atlanta. The dogs were stolen while Moxon was at the firing range on Monday. Jimi was shot and then dumped in a ditch beside a Lamar County road. The other dog, who was badly beaten and starved, showed up after Jimi was found. He is expected to survive.
