(Los Angeles, CA) -- Michael Jackon's 81-year-old father Joe Jackson is asking a Los Angeles Superior Court judge to have the late pop star's estate cover his living expenses.

The request is being made today despite the fact Michael Jackson did not include his father in his will.

The "Los Angeles Times" reports the Joe Jackson is asking the judge to grant an allowance to cover his more than 20-thousand-dollars-a-month living expenses.

Michael's mother, Katherine Jackson, was provided for in the will with a 26-thousand dollar monthly allowance.
