Thursday, Nov 19, 2009 @11:18am CST (Pittsburgh, PA) -- A charter plane leaving Pittsburgh heading for Laughlin, Nevada Wednesday night lost an engine and had to make an emergency landing in Wichita, Kansas.
Officials with Allegiant Air say the plane, which was carrying 125 passengers, made a stop in Kansas to get more fuel. Authorities say when it resumed its flight, passengers reported hearing a boom and the pilot went back to the Wichita airport. One passenger suffered slight injuries when going down an emergency slide as everyone was evacuated from the plane.
