Tuesday, Nov 24, 2009 @09:54am CST (Winnipeg, Manitoba) -- Severe allergic reactions in six people have led several Canadian provinces to stop use of a particular batch of H1N1 vaccine.
A total of 172-thousand doses are involved in the batch. GlaxoSmithKline and the Public Health Agency of Canada requested that Manitoba, British Columbia, Alberta, Saskatchewan, Ontario and Prince Edward Island cease use of the vaccine in the specific batch. All six persons who reported severe allergic reactions have since recovered.
