(North Charleston, SC) -- Police in South Carolina have recovered a one-month-old boy who apparently was abducted from his mother's car Monday.

They arrested 19-year-old Andrea Samone Walker after midnight at a North Charleston apartment complex.

Police found the baby, Angel Perez, unharmed in the apartment.

Walker is charged with kidnapping the infant by allegedly taking him from the back seat of his mother's car.

Police say the baby's mother, Lidia Juarez, left the child in the vehicle for about five minutes while she went into an area post office to buy stamps.

Authorities believe Walker followed Juarez, snatched the baby and fled in another car.

There is no motive yet in the case and the investigation continues.

It's not yet known if Juarez could face charges for leaving the baby alone in the car.
