Steve is a native of southern Wisconsin, and watched Channel 17 while growing up.

He earned his degree in Journalism from the University of Wisconsin-Madison. Of course, he's a big Badgers and Packers fan (sorry, Bears fans).

In January 2009, Steve moved from the Evening Newscasts to the 5pm and Morning Newscasts so he could spend time with his family at night. Steve is active in the Rockford community, speaking at schools and public events. He also volunteers his time to the many charitable community events sponsored by WTVO Channel 17 News. When he's not working, you can usually catch him at the "Y" playing basketball or lifting weights.
