Nicole Kilmer was born and raised in Byron, Illinois and grew up watching WTVO.

Nicole has been in a few movies and commercials in her younger years and decided to make a career out of being on camera. Nicole graduated from the University of Iowa with a degree in Journalism and Mass Communications. Nicole lived in the Hawkeye state for eight years and worked at CBS affiliate KIMT-TV in Mason City, Iowa as morning and noon anchor. She moved back to the Rockford area to be closer to her family and spent more than one and one-half years at Rockford's NBC affiliate as weekend anchor.

Nicole is active in the stateline. You can catch her at local fundraisers or volunteering her time. Nicole is an avid reader and loves to travel. When she’s not at WTVO, you can probably find her walking her beagle, Bailey, on one of the area’s numerous bike paths. 

Nicole is the face behind the Stateline Green Project at WTVO/WQRF where she offers tips on how to help save the environment.  You can also catch her On the Job series where she highlights various careers across the Stateline.
