Born and raised near Milwaukee, Paul Youngblood has traveled the globe, worked in different avenues of broadcasting and finds he just can’t stay away from the Midwest and from WTVO. Paul, who first worked in the WTVO Weather Center in the early 1990s, now returns to WTVO Channel 17 News and FOX 39 NEWS AT NINE. At 10 years old, Paul aspired to replace Phil Donahue when the talk show host retired. After high school, he pursued ambitions across the Atlantic, mostly in Switzerland and Germany. Then Paul returned stateside and moved out West, where he held his first broadcasting job at ABC Television in Los Angeles. And while Paul enjoyed his time on the West Coast, he just couldn’t see developing permanent roots there. Trying to get closer to home, Paul landed in Rockford and got his start in weather at WTVO. During this time, Paul met and married his wife Lisa and had a son and daughter. But before the kids could form allegiance with Illinois’ NFL team, the Youngblood family moved into legendary Packer territory, and to this day, they’re likely to be at Lambeau Field during football season.
