Bob didn't start out with the dream of working in TV. He joined the Marine Corps with the goal of being a forward observer but ended up becoming a Combat Correspondent and covering Operation Desert Storm in Saudi Arabia and Kuwait. Bob holds both a Bachelor's and Master's Degree in psychology from Illinois State University. He worked as a mental health counselor for several years and is also a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor in the State of Illinois. Bob also graduated from the Mississippi State Certified Meteorologist program in the summer of 2005 and since then his duties have been expanding at WTVO, filling in as a weather anchor for both the morning newscast and the weekends. He was also promoted to substitute morning news anchor in April of 2009 and has started filling in for the weekend newscasts as well. Bob's real love is telling stories about the people and events of our world, and he looks forward to finding more of them right here in the Stateline. Click here to email Bob! |
