Katie Crowther joined the WTVO news team in January of 2008. She received a bachelor's degree from John Carroll University in Cleveland and her master's from Northwestern's Medill School of Journalism. 

She's interned at TV stations in Chicago, Cleveland, Detroit, Washington D.C., New York City and Dublin, Ireland.  Her favorite part of her job in Rockford is getting to cover something different everyday, and getting to know a wide variety of people in the community. She's originally from the Detroit suburbs, but is happy to call Rockford home. 

When not reporting, Katie enjoys spending time with friends and family, traveling, playing sports and remaining active with the YMCA's Big Brother Big Sister program.
