Wednesday, Mar 11, 2009 @09:19am CDT Alex grew up in Lincolnwood, a northern suburb of Chicago. He joined the WTVO/WQRF team in March 2009. Alex graduated from the University of Iowa with a B.A in Communication Studies. Before coming to Rockford, Alex worked as a Reporter in Evansville, IN. While in Evansville, Alex covered a variety of stories including a chemical building explosion in Crossville, IL and an in-depth investigation on an allegedly fraudulent charity. Before Evansville, Alex worked for nearly two years in Grand Junction, Colorado covering some of the state's worst wildfires. During college Alex interned at WMAQ in Chicago under the supervision of Anchor/Reporter Art Norman and at 20/20 ABC News in New York as member of the Stossel Unit. Alex is very happy to be covering stories in the Rockford area and getting to be closer to his family and friends. In his spare time, Alex loves to play basketball, work out, and watch movies. Alex looks forward to covering stories that make a difference to the Rockford community. |
