Reported by: Nicole Kilmer Thursday, Oct 1, 2009 @04:03pm CDT Keep Northern Illinois Beautiful will hold its Fall Metals & Electronics Drive on Saturday, October 3, from 9 a.m. until 3 p.m., at the Machesney Park Mall parking lot (south of the JCPenney Outlet Store). Since this program began in 1998, over 2.2 million pounds of metals and electronics has been collected for recycling, which has greatly helped conserve natural resources and saved vital local landfill space. The following items are accepted at a minimal fee to cover the cost of decanting and tagging for the EPA:
