    Green Gadgets

What do you do with your old gadgets?
I recycle them through an electronics recycling service
I give them away to Goodwill or a friend
     I sell them on eBay/Craigslist
They're gathering dust in the back of my closet
     I throw them away (yikes!)

  • Green Valentine's Day
    Reported by: Nicole Kilmer

WTVO/WQRF - There are many different ways you can make your valentine's day more eco-friendly.  One of the worst environmental impacts of valentine's day is the huge amount of cards that are sent each year.  E-cards are the best option for the greener valentine.  They require only a couple of minutes of energy usage to send and they do not require any form of deforestation.

On Valentine's Day people like to treat their partner to a romantic meal for two. This year instead of booking the first restaurant you come across, take into account where they source their produce. If you place "local produce + restaurants + [where you live]" into a search engine it should bring back a list of results for your area. More and more restaurants are starting to use local produce.
If you want to be a little more personal and cook a romantic meal at home, look to source organic, locally grown and seasonal produce.
