    Green Gadgets

What do you do with your old gadgets?
I recycle them through an electronics recycling service
I give them away to Goodwill or a friend
     I sell them on eBay/Craigslist
They're gathering dust in the back of my closet
     I throw them away (yikes!)

(Madison, Wisconsin) - Wisconsin's governor wants his state to look towards the future—and develop new means of energy production. Governor Jim Doyle announced a major initiative. He calls his plan Clean Energy Wisconsin.  Doyle wants to provide resources and money to build up sources of renewable energy, such as switchgrass, sawdust and corn.  "We're at a point now where our position on energy can't be ignored,” says Doyle.  “We all saw oil went well over 100 dollars a barrel, and were now seeing the possibility of paying well over 4 dollars for a gallon of gas."  The department of commerce is going to hand out fifteen million dollars a year to companies researching and developing energy practices that could reduce our dependence on foreign oil.  The governor's long term goal is to get 25 percent of the state's energy and fuel from renewable sources by 2025.
