Sunday, Nov 8, 2009 @09:25pm CST A young girl who's bravely been battling cancer passed away late Saturday night. Eleven-year-old Sydney Ives was diagnosed with a brain tumor last year. Although she lost her battle with cancer, she won-over a lot of hearts in the Rockford community and beyond. Over the past year there's been community fundraisers for her. And this past week teal ribbons were tied to trees throughout the area to honor her. Teal was her favorite color. Sydney passed away at home with her family by her side. |
