Reported by: Alex Shabad Tuesday, Oct 27, 2009 @08:10pm CDT Just a few notes into the song and chances are you'll know who 26 year old Kyle Theiss is imitating. Dylan’s music has been there for him during his struggle with a brain tumor. "It’s definitely been the one thing that's brightened up my day" says Theiss. "It gave him something to do imagine being 24 having a headache and blurry vision and being told you have a brain tumor" says Kyle’s father, William Theiss. Following surgery, doctors determined the tumor would be too risky to remove. Fast forward two years later to some better news. Theiss is just moments away from seeing his hero "live" on stage. Theiss has listened to Dylan songs day in and day out, in fact he's got about 12 memorized, but this is the first time to see Bob Dylan live in "It's a good memory not a bad memory I can look back on it and really appreciate it" says Theiss. Theiss still has to be monitored by doctors every three to six months. But after this rock-star night, he'll be living his life with a different tune. |
