Ogle County 911 Service Disruption

(Ogle County) -- Ogle County Sheriff Greg Beitel reports that there has been a disruption of telephone service, including 911 service, for the Polo, Leaf River and Grand Detour exchanges in Ogle County.

Shortly before noon on Tuesday a contractor digging along Illinois Route 64 cut a Verizon fiber optic line. The cut has also caused service problems in portions of Lee and Whiteside Counties.

Repairs are estimated to be completed around 6:30pm CST.
