The nFactor Action Team is calling their plan -SOS-save our schools. Their call comes in response to Sunday’s homicides, where a “Even though it wasn’t at school it’s still affected a lot of people at schools and fights out of the ordinary,” The students met with “They asked if we could do a survey on climate and we're going to do that and then we're going to find ways to resolve any of their issues,” says “I don’t think safety and violence is an issue. I think we have rambunctious youngsters who are in conflict with one another and we're trying to teach them how not to act out violently when they have concerns,” says These students disagree. “I don’t feel safe because people can bring knives and guns to school and get away with it just be like, I’ve got a gun in my pocket and if you want to mess with me we can go outside,” says Lamb. They say many incidents aren't reported because if they tell, they'll be targeted next. But they're not giving up “I think we can make a difference working with her and then again some of the problems weren't put out on the table tonight,” says Latic. The students plan on sending out petitions to bring more attention to violence in schools. |
