Illinois Artist Creates Lasting Image Of Soldiers

Rockford- One man is creating a lasting image of those that have served our country. The "Portrait of a Soldier" exhibit is on display at Veteran's Memorial Hall.
Cameron Schilling started drawing Illinois service members who have passed away in 2004. Now he has sketched over two hundred fallen soldiers.
"These are Portraits of a Soldiers. These are portraits that one single artist created as his honor to those that have passed away in the Gulf," Says Leah Nelson Curator, Veteran's Memorial Hall
Each original drawing has been given to the soldier’s family. The exhibit will be on display all weekend before moving to a new city.
