Reported by: Scott Leber Monday, Nov 2, 2009 @08:13pm CST Hoffman Estates, Illinois-The Chicago Slaughter won't be dominating the CIFL any more. They've joined the IFL (Indoor Football League).
The IFL is a 23 team league that is now regarded as the premier indoor football league in the country now that the AFL and AF2 no longer exist. Last year the Slaughter dominated the CIFL going 13-0 and winning the league championship. The team featured several former players from the AFL's Chicago Rush. Last week the Slaughter was suspended by the CIFL for being delinquent in its league dues. Clearly the Slaughter were eyeing a move to the IFL at the time. |
