Giannoulias Subpeonaed To Testify In Blago Trial

By: Colin Clarke

(Chicago)  --  Democratic U.S. Senate candidate Alexi Giannoulias says he is on the list of people subpoenaed to testify in the corruption trial of ex-governor Rod Blagojevich.
Giannoulias says he introduced labor leader and Tom Balonoff and White House adviser Valeria Jarrett shortly after Barack Obama was elected President.
Jarrett was President Obama's preffered pick to replace him in the U.S. Senate.
But, Giannoulias said he had "minimal involvement" in a meeting between Jarrett and Balonoff.
He said he doubts he'll actually be called to testify.
Giannoulias is currently locked up in a tight Senate race with Republican Mark Kirk.
