Illinois' Unpaid Bills May Be Addressed At Veto Session

(Springfield)  --  Illinois' unpaid bills could wind up on the agenda at veto session next week.
The state still has nearly five-billion dollars in overdue bills, more than any other state in the nation.
Murphysboro Representative Mike Bost says lawmakers made steps in the right direction when they maintained FY 2011 spending levels in the FY 2012 budget.
He says any additional revenue should be used to pay delinquent bills but Governor Quinn continues to press lawmakers for more money.
Quinn wants lawmakers to give him more money so he doesn't have to close down seven state facilities.
   Veto session starts next Tuesday.
