Rockford Shooting

A Rockford man is in critical condition Saturday after another man shoots him in the shoulder.

A Rockford man is in critical condition Saturday, after another man shoots him in the shoulder.

Around 1:30 Saturday morning, 18-year-old Demarkus Kyles was sitting in a car at 1118 Furman when 23-year-old Eric Jackson allegedly fired several shots at the vehicle.

Kyles was hit in the shoulder and ran off.

When police arrived, they found him in the 3500 block of Auburn.

Police are still searching for Jackson.

He's described as five foot two inches tall, weighing 165 lbs.
