(Plainfield)  --  Police say a pre-teen arsonist is responsible for several fires in his neighborhood that caused some 200-thousand dollars damage.
Officers say a 12-year-old Plainfield boy admitted to torching five vehicles on Hazlewood Drive in recent weeks.
At least two of the fires also destroyed homes.
Police say the boy was placed in foster care with a family on the block about a year ago.
He is now in the care of juvenile authorities.
