Peoria Gets Charging Stations For Electric Vehicles

By: Colin Clarke
Updated: February 29, 2012
(Peoria)  --  The first public charging stations for electric vehicles are installed in Peoria.
The units were installed this week at Bradley University, located at the school's parking decks.
The university charges for use of its charging stations:  75 cents an hour, and they take all major credit cards.
A complete recharge takes three to four hours.
School officials say they're not sure just how many electric vehicles are owned in the area.
