Afghans Kill Two U.S. Soldiers

By: Colin Clarke
Updated: March 2, 2012
Two more Americans soldiers have been killed in Afghanistan, this time by an Afghan civilian who grabbed a rifle from an Afghan soldier.
It happened before dawn, local time, at a military outpost in the southern province of Kandahar, an area of heavy insurgent activity.
NATO officials in Afghanistan say the soldiers were killed by a civilian working for the Afghan army as a literacy teacher.
An Afghan district chief says a third American soldier was wounded.
The shooter was killed, along with an Afghan soldier.
Four Americans died in similar assaults last week.
