(Rockford) -- Authorities have one person in custody and are searching for a second suspect after a bank robbery Tuesday morning.

Police say a 21 year old female, LaToya Burrows, entered the Associated Bank branch on the 600 block of North Main Street around 11:00am and passed a note to a teller demanding cash.

She was arrested after an officer spotted her not far from the scene of the crime.

Witnesses say they saw her with an unidentified male.  He was last seen walking north, away from the area.  His role in the robbery is not known at this time.
