Rockford - Golfers hit the green at the Mauh-Nah-Tee-See Country Club to raise money for kids.

It's the 18th Annual United Way Golf Play Day.

All the money raised today will go to the Success By Six initiative, which works to ensure kids up to six years old have a strong educational foundation to build on as they get ready for school.

The fundraiser netted about $10,000 this year.
