Winsor Lake Now Open to Public

A partnership
between the lake owners and the Rockford Park District made the opening
possible.
Visitors will get a
chance to explore the lake front while fishing, kayaking and paddle boarding.
Lake Owner Edwin
Carlson hopes families will take advantage of this opportunity to enjoy the
summer together.
Carlson says
"Today... a lot of the kids are sitting at home watching television and i
think this is an opportunity to get them out of the house and get their parents
on weekends to come out here to have a family affair."
Carlson
purchased the lake in 1970.
