Members of the
community came out to enjoy the delicious homemade breakfast treats, followed
by a live band with local vendors and family fun.
Each year the
festival is held to benefit organizations like Habitat for Humanity and the Beloit
Hospice. Organizers say the festival wouldn't be possible without community
support.
Strawberry Festival
Co-Chairman Caryn Mellom said "we have volunteers that help through out the
day from all of our benevolences as well as the volunteers from the
volunteering action center so we have a lot of people, boy scouts, which come
and help us throughout the day."
The Sun Valley Presbyterian
Church holds the festival every year in June.
