MLB announces All-Stars, LaHair, Sale among Chicago players chosen.

Major League Baseball announced the All-Star teams, and both the Chicago Cubs and White Sox had multiple selections.

Flashy shortstop Starlin Castro was expected to be the only Cub named to the National League roster, but rookie first baseman Bryan LaHair was also named to the roster behind Reds first baseman Joey Votto. LaHair has struggled as of late, but hit very well to begin the season.

The White Sox had sluggers Paul Konerko and Adam Dunn named to the team. Dunn is among the league leaders in home runs, while Konerko is among the league leaders in batting average and on-base percentage.

Chris Sale will represent Chicago on the American League pitching staff. Sale is 23, and in his first year as a starting pitcher at the big league level. However, his earned-run average has been among the best in baseball, and he has consistently pitched well in big games.

White Sox starter Jake Peavy also has the chance to make the team in the Major League Baseball's All-Star Game Final Vote. Fans can the MLB's website to vote for Peavy, or any of the other players being considered.
