Rockford, Illinois-Despite the soaring temperatures this week all softball action is still going on as scheduled at Sportscore One.

Games were cancelled last Thursday when the temperature climbed well above 90 degrees, but this week the players have been sweating it out.  Park District officials and the players know that this heat wave is going away anytime soon, so they're making the best of it.

Players are downing Gatorade to stay hydrated.  That's the biggest key.

Many of the teams are playing not one game, but two per night.
