Rockford - The Park District continues to enhance the Sinnissippi riverfront.

The group approved a new construction project.  It'll add 82 parking spaces, a lighted sidewalk, two respite areas, electronic vehicle charging stations, and a living retaining wall, the only one of its kind in Rockford.

It's expected to be completed by October.

Also, as a result of the project, the Park District has suspended their monthly free days for the next three months.
