Body Found At The Airport Inn in Rockford

(Rockford, Illinois) Rockford Police were called to the Airport Inn Friday afternoon after they got a call that a body had been discovered there.
When they arrived they found the body of a 63 year old caucasian man inside his motel room with trauma to the head.
Police say they are treating the incident as a murder investigation but have made no arrests.
The man had been apparently staying at the motel for a few days and was not from Rockford, according to police.
Police say they have recovered no murder weapon and have made no arrests in the case so far.
WTVO talked with Sandra Pierzynski, who lives in the room directly beneath the crime scene, and said she had no idea anything had happened. She adds, " I looked out and saw all of this and I talked to one of the police officers and they said it was right above my room, which kind of spooked me."
As of late Friday night police would not release the identify of the victim since they had not yet reached his family. Police do say they have not yet made and arrests in the case as of 9 PM Friday night.
