Freeport, Illinois) A methamphetamine lab is shut down in a middle class Freeport neighborhood. Wednesday afternoon police raided a two story house on Logan Avenue and discovered the meth lab. Three suspects have been arrested in the case, including William Sperry, who was arrested at the house on Logan. Police say the chemicals used in a meth lab can be explosive and are highly dangerous. Freeport Police Department Lt. Brian Kantzelman says the raid did discover a working meth lab and adds, "Anytime there is a meth lab it is a potentially dangerous situation with explosions or fires due to the chemicals they use to manufacture the meth." The Stateline Area Narcotics Team, Freeport Police, and Stephenson County Sheriff`s Police all worked together to break this case. Freeport Police say all three suspects remain in custody, each facing several felony narcotics charges.
