Rockford, Illinois- The Rockford Parent Council met to hear from Rockford parents about the possibility of moving to "zoned" schools.
Parent Council president Jeanne Westholder says even before tonight. She has heard many concerns from parents.
"Well certainly if parents live in a specific zone theyre going to have questions about how thats going to affect them" says Westholder.
Some of the concerns expressed by parents were that they want more time to become informed, they want to see the proposed maps if the schools become zoned, and they wonder if any students will be grandfathered in.
Westholder made a list of the parents concerns and will bring them to the community meeting with the district on December 14th at Auburn High School.
The district will make its decision on January 9th.
