breaking news
Rockford, Illinois - A blizzard blankets parts of Colorado with nearly two feet of snow, closing down Denver`s International Airport and leaving thousands of travelers stranded.
For the past two days all United Airline flights from Rockford to Denver have been cancelled. Nationwide, United has cancelled more than 600 flights because of the storm. Travelers both in Denver and in Rockford have been trying everything to be able to make it to their loved ones for Christmas. One Rockford man, we spoke with who`s stuck in Colorado, has even tried renting a car to drive through the storm and back to Illinois.
Rick Hedrick has been stranded in Colorado since his flight was cancelled on Wednesday. He was in Pueblo on business and was expected to be home yesterday, days before Christmas. After his flight was cancelled and the Denver airport had shut down, he didn`t have many options to get home.
