No Snow Means No Snow Sculpting

By: Import User
Updated: March 1, 2007
Rockford- The Illinois Snow Sculpting Competition has been postponed. It`s looked more like spring at Sinnissippi Park and no snow means no snow sculpting. The competion was scheduled to start Wednesday, January 17th. It`s now pushed back to the 24th. The event needs at least three inches of snow. It`s compacted into blocks and trucked-in from the Rockford Airport. This is the third postponement in the competition`s 21 year history. Only once has it been canceled in 2003. If there`s no snow by January 19th, the event will be canceled.
