(Chicago)  --  Governor Pat Quinn has extended his lead over Republican State Senator Bill Brady in the governor's race.
"ABC-7" reports Quinn now leads by over 19-thousand votes over Brady.
President Barack Obama is apparently not one to wait for a concession speech.
A campaign spokesperson says the President called Governor Pat Quinn yesterday to "congratulate" him on winning the election.
Republican challenger Bill Brady, however, is refusing to concede until all absentee ballots are tallied.
