Boone County Fatal Car Accident

A local resident is dead and another is in the hospital after a car accident in Boone County Saturday night. It happened just before 10 pm on Squaw Prairie Road, just east of Poplar Grove Road. Sheriff's deputies say the crash only involved the one car. The driver was pronounced dead at the scene. The passenger was airlifted to OSF St. Anthony's Hospital. Deputies are still investigating.
