Jack Daniel McCullough Pleas Not Guilty

The man accused of killing a 7-year old Sycamore girl in 1957 pleaded not guilty in a Seattle courtroom today. Jack Daniel McCullough , a former police officer arrested in the abduction and murder of a Sycamore girl was charged with being a fugitive, a charge designed to keep him in custody pending his return to Illinois.

The 71-year old McCullough, declined to appear in court for his arraignment, but a lawyer entered a not-guilty plea on his behalf, and the judge kept his bail at 3 million. Another hearing was set for July 20.

McCullough is accused in the 1957 abduction-slaying of 7-year-old Maria Ridulph.
