Supreme Court To Hear Arizona Immigration Case In April

By: Colin Clarke
Updated: February 3, 2012
(Washington, DC)  --  The U.S. Supreme Court will hear arguments on Arizona's controversial immigration law on April 25th.
The Obama administration is challenging the strict new law, saying it violates constitutional civil rights protections.
The high court's eventual ruling will have an impact on several other states which have approved tough immigration laws.
The administration argues that immigration control is a federal responsibility which could become unwieldy with a patchwork of different state laws.
