On July 15th around one o'clock in the morning, 37-year-old Roger Sutton was driving on State Route 2 near Emerson road when he lost control and hit a tree. Sutton had been out drinking with 23-year-old Vaughn Sharp and Sharp's girlfriend. Sharp sustained internal injuries and died two days after the accident.
Sutton, who had a blood alcohol level about twice the legal limit, pleaded guilty Wednesday to reckless homicide and was sentenced to 30 months probation and 180 days in a work release program.
