The UNICEF chapter at Auburn High School hopes to raise enough money for the UNICEF Tap Project. This project is based off of a simple concept, particpating restaurants are asking their patrons to donate one dollar for complimentary tap water.
Many countries like Africa are living without clean water.
Club officer Ashwin Puri believes it's important for the community to be aware of this issue.
Puri said, "We shouldn't take this for granted. We can go in our house and we waste gallons and gallons of water, freshwater every day just using our showers, and there are people in places like somalia and africa that can't even have water to survive."
One hundred percent of the money raised this year will help countries like Africa and Vietnam.

Students will host a dinner next Saturday February 25 at the Radisson Hotel at 7pm to help raise money.
