Confusion Over Fate Of Journalists

By: Colin Clarke
Updated: February 28, 2012
There are conflicting reports this morning on the fate of an injured British journalist who'd been trapped in the besieged Syrian town of Homs.
"Sunday Times" photographer Paul Conroy was wounded during an attack last week that killed American Marie Colvin and Frenchman Remi Ochlik.
Initially it was thought that he'd been safely rescued and taken across the border into Lebanon.
   Now, there are differing accounts.
"Times" Afghan correspondent Miles Amoore has taken to Twitter to dispute the story, saying no such rescue has taken place.
Another wounded journalist, Frenchwoman Edith Bouvier, was reported to have been rescued along with Conroy.
There's been no further update on her status.
