Bird Found in Freeport Infected With West Nile Virus

Freeport- A dead crow tests positive for West Nile Virus.

Health Dept. officials found the bird in south Freeport a week ago.  Stephenson County is just the latest county to report an incident this year.  So far, Cook, DeKalb, LaSalle, and Madison counties have all reported birds that have tested positive for the virus.

No one has been infected with West Nile Virus in any of those counties.
